Getting behind!

Well Im a little behind! Have to try and come on more so its not such a big post when I do get on here! Not much has been happening. Wrigley stood for over a minute yesterday! However he is getting lazy with walking he just flops down to his knees and crawls most of the time now. Just depends on his mood I guess. Other than that nothing much is new. I did another shoot on Friday for a 6 year old. She was the perfect little model, she had fun trying to think of new poses. Made my job very easy! :) Today is also the last day to vote for my picture in Black's Christmas Photo contest. Im proud I made it to the finals out of around 1000 other pictures! Not bad for my first contest and just starting out in photography. Well I'll get to my picture of the day for the last few days!

New Years Resolutions

Well yesterday Sean took Wrigley to watch some soccer games so I could run some errands (still wasn't feeling too great) then we just had a relaxing night at home. Yesterday was an exciting day for Wrigley though! And no I dont mean watching soccer.. he started to sit on his bum to play and eat and drink his bottle! He never really sits on his bum. If you put him on it he could but just never did. He'd always do like a half sit when he was crawling so that was so cute to see him doing that! Then in his walking adventures he started to just stand on his own for like 20 seconds! Just stood there, sometimes even waving his arms! He has been taking a few steps since Dec 17th about but his balance is getting so good now to be able to just stand on his own like that. My little baby isn't going to be a baby for much longer.. so sad but exciting at the same time. Ive started thinking about his 1st birthday! I think we'll do a backyardigans theme. I know I know.. he won't even know whats going on or remember it but I love planning stuff like that :)

One of my new years resolutions is to cook more. Make meals! I figure since Wrigley will be 1 soon and I'll have to get use to making actual meals for our little family I should start now. I started with a recipe my sister introduced to us when I was home for Christmas. It's SO good! It has tomatoes and peanut butter in it, two things I really dont like, so you know it must be good if I like it anyways!

Alright and now for my new years resolutions if I can remember them all :)

-Start doing photography publicly (get better at it)

-Decide what I want to do for my career

-Finish school (mom I know you'll like that one lol)

-Cook meals!

-Get in shape and stay in shape

-Be a good mom and spend lots of time with my baby before he's all grown up!

-Do the picture a day challenge :)

-Start a blog (done!)

And more but I cant remember lol

Catch Up

Day 5 (Jan 5): Bath time :)

Wrigley LOVES bath time! He just loves splashing around and playing with his bath toys. He'd stay in there all night if I let him :)

Day 6 (Jan 6): What?

I love this face Wrigley makes. He raises his one eye brow like what the heck? Today we were all sick so we had a relaxing day in our PJs. I laid on the couch all day and Wrigley was still a little maniac. I dont know where he gets his energy! He was clearly sick but still just happy and playing, wish I could empower some of his energy on days like this! Seeing him happy when Im sick makes me get through the day when I just want to lay in bed and do nothing he makes me suck it up and play with him :)

Day 7 (Jan 7): Green Screen

Today my parents come into town. For my birthday they gave me this huge photography set up! Im so lucky to have such supportive parents. My dad is like me or I guess I should say Im like my dad, he likes being creative and things like photography. Anyways the set up has a green screen and soft boxes and a light and all this stuff to help me get started. Well its like a professional set up, love it! :D

I dont have the program so it gives me a demo version but I just did a quick try as its midnight but looks pretty cool! This will give me endless backdrops! :)

All in all was a good day. We're all feeling a little better and its always nice to see my parents. Now that I have Wrigley I have a new respect for them and love seeing them with Wrigley. Wrigley was showing off and taking a few steps and dancing away. He is only 9 months and gets better at walking by the day! I cant wait for my cousin Amanda's wedding this summer he'll be dancing on the dance floor all on his own :) he's getting so big! My baby will be a toddler soon :*( I love seeing him develop and learn new things constantly though <3

Day Four

We finally had a nice relaxing day at home for the first time in like a month! I contemplated not even showering and staying in my pjs all day but had to give in and shower lol Wrigley has his 2nd ever cold I think (his nose is runny) but he's still SO happy! He's such a perfect baby :)

2012 Picture A Day Challenge

Well its a new year! 2011 was amazing as we were blessed with our little man Wrigley. He's the perfect baby and I couldnt be a happier mommy to have him and his dad in my life! Over the past few months I have been doing photography here and there for friends and family, Ive decided this year I might go public with it. Photography has always been something I have loved but just never thought about it as a job as it doesnt make much money. Doesnt mean I cant do it as a hobby and make a little extra money on the side though right? I love taking pictures, we probably have over 2000 pics of Wrigley and he's 9 months lol I decided this year I was going to do the Picture a Day Challenge but only use my "fancy" camera to force me to learn how to use it more! Here are the first three days :)
